SAT/PSAT EXAM PREP

The SAT is a standardized exam and is an important part of the college admissions process. Many US universities and colleges use SAT scores as a means of assessing a student's preparation for higher education. The SAT’s can be a stressful test for many student, but we are here to help. DIM is experienced with the difficulties of standardized testing, and we are here to guide your child through the entire process.

What’s on the test?

SAT ENGLISH

The Reading test involves 52 total multiple-choice items spread across 5 different reading passages.

SAT MATH

Questions on the SAT Math Test are distributed among these three topics with 19 Heart of Algebra questions, 17 Problem Solving and Data Analysis questions, and 16 Passport to Advanced Math questions.

Curriculum


SAT MATH

Our SAT Math program focuses on core test taking principles, and a well though out curriculum that tackles all of the topics that students need in order to get through the exam. Students will be tested, and given homework on concepts such as: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics.


SAT READING

The SAT English section focuses on reading comprehension and grammar. In our program students will be given lessons on how to apply their knowledge of Sentence Structure and Formation, Punctuation, Usage, Organization, Unity, Cohesion, and Topic Development


Mock Exams

Practicing under realistic exam conditions allows students to perfect their scores leading up to their official exams. Mock exams are also a great opportunity for students to gauge how much preparation they need and when they should plan to take an official exam. Tests are also followed up with a personalized report of scores that will help students understand their strengths and weaknesses.
